• a) TC Lacoste / Pique - "Diamond Pattern"(65% Polyester, 35% Cotton ~ 210 gsm) This is the budget & very popular material. Its low price makes it very attractive. Generally recommended for gift, indoor promotional wear, company sales team uniform and general usage. It is generally hotter and least sweat absorbent because of least Cotton content, therefore not so suitable for outdoor or sporting events. It does not shrink, go out of shape and crumple resistant.

• b) CVC Honeycomb / Lacoste(50% Cotton, 50% Polyester ~ 210 gsm) This is the medium class of lacoste material, specially knitted to provide a better quality feel. Its 50% of Cotton ingredient makes it more sweat absorbent, softer and more comfortable. The amount of Polyester mixed adds stiffness to the t-shirt and make it drape well.Recommended for indoor and outdoor use. Shrinkage - approximately 7%.

• c) Cotton Honeycomb / Lacoste(100% Cotton, 0% Polyester ~ 220 gsm) This is the highest grade among lacoste category, specially knitted extra thick to give a luxuries and high quality feel. Its full Cotton content makes it sweat absorbent, very soft and comfortable. Recommended for indoor and outdoor use. Shrinkage - approximately 10%.

2) Single Jersey / Single Knit

 

• a) TC Single Jersey / Knit(65% Polyester, 35% Cotton ~ 180 gsm) This is the budget fabric also recommended for Round Neck t-shirts. Its low content of cotton & relatively high content of polyester make it hotter & less sweat absorbent. It also has a slight waxy feel to it, crumple resistant and does not stretch much. The upside to it is, it does not shrink & very durable.The fabric is popular among school orders because of its low price and is readily available.

• b) CVC Single Jersey / Knit(50% Cotton, 50% Polyester ~ 180 gsm) This is the medium class fabric for round neck t-shirt. The amount of Polyester added makes it crumple resistant, doesn't shrink too much, and holds the t-shirt well. T-Shirt is tough and durable yet more comfortable.

• c) 100% Cotton Single Knit / Jersey(100% Cotton, 0% Polyester ~ 180 gsm) Definitely this is the highest grade of Single Jersey Material. There are 3 different grades of 100% cotton recommended for round neck t-shirt & v neck t-shirt. 100% Cotton may suffer from some degree of shrinkage and skewing. It is more expensive than TC and CVC Single Knit/Jersey. Nonetheless it is still the most comfortable & very sweat absorbent. It is widely used by most fashionable branded t-shirt.The 3 major types of 100% cotton are listed below,

• i)(100% Cotton Carded ~ 180gsm) - fair quality cotton, not go through the combing process

• ii)(100% Cotton Semi-combed ~ 180gsm) - good quality cotton, go through the basic combing process

• iii)(100% Cotton Fully-combed ~ 180gsm) - superior quality cotton, go through the full combing process
